After losing his parents in an accident at a young age and then losing the grandmother who raised him, he resolves to avoid further separations. Amid this determination, he encounters a man who extends a warm hand.

Garam finds comfort in Samuhun’s kindness as the man brings him nuts and cranberries daily. Before he knows it, he’s on the path to becoming Samuhun’s pet squirrel.
