Rain Bell

The story follows Miss Huo Ling Long, the eldest daughter of Ling Long Manor, who flees her arranged marriage and leaves home. At a mountain inn, she encounters a mysterious black-clad man, Zhan Zhao, who possesses extraordinary martial arts skills but is gravely injured. Zhan Zhao is being hunted by numerous factions for obtaining incriminating evidence against the Prince of Xiang Yang. Despite his perilous situation, he repeatedly comes to Huo Ling Long’s aid.

Huo Ling Long grows curious about this enigmatic man and later learns that he is none other than the renowned “Southern Hero” Zhan Zhao. His current predicament stems from his possession of the evidence against the Prince of Xiang Yang. After defeating many formidable foes, Zhan Zhao, aware that his poison-induced injuries are beyond cure, entrusts the critical evidence to Huo Ling Long. He then distracts and holds off the pursuers to ensure her escape but falls into an ambush himself.

In the end, Zhan Zhao sacrifices himself to protect the common people and is captured. However, Huo Ling Long teams up with Bai Yu Tang to rescue him. With their assistance, Zhan Zhao continues to seek justice, uncovering clues, upholding righteousness, capturing criminals, and dismantling the vast network of power and influence the Prince of Xiang Yang had woven across the imperial court and martial world over the years. Ultimately, they thwart the prince’s sinister plans, restoring peace and safety to the people.
